A residential led development in the planning.

Merklands Quay is a circa 16 acre site to the west of Meadowside Quay.  Master planning on this site will begin in late 2025 on a residential led development featuring some alternative leisure uses at the west end of the site.

This will provide an extension to the existing community with a range of property tenures including 3 acres of space for leisure use.

Residential.

Leisure.

Merklands Quay benefits.

Near Local Universities
The development is just a 20-minute walk from the University of Glasgow, with rail and subway connections to the city centre. The recently announced Glasgow Riverside Innovation District will be minutes walk away.

Enhancing Glasgow’s Waterfront The redefined riverside walk provides the main spine for the development and repairs connections and access along the river between Partick, Kelvingrove Park, Riverside Museum, SEC and Hydro and the city centre.

Meeting Housing Needs Potential to create new homes for various needs.

Enhancing Public Realm The landscape strategy is to re-purpose and enhance the currently vacant land and revitalise this part of the riverside into an attractive, vibrant and fully permeable green corridor.

Vibrant Location Not only does the site benefit from being situated on the River Clyde with views across Glasgow, it also benefits from close proximity to a great number of entertainment offerings such as the Riverside Museum, Clydeside Distillery, SEC, SWG3 and the Science Museum.
